Phase 2: Specialization Pathways

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Phase 1: Rookie Foundations

Congratulations on passing Phase 1! You’ve mastered the basics of the shop, built your XRP Starter Bot, and earned your safety certifications. Now, it’s time to choose your specialty.

An FRC team is built like a small engineering firm—it is simply too massive for one person to do everything. Phase 2 is where you pick a subteam and dive deep into mastering those specific skills.

How to Navigate Phase 2

1. Pick a Primary Pathway: While you can explore multiple areas, we highly recommend focusing on one primary pathway for your first season to truly master the skills.
2. Follow the Modules: Click into your chosen pathway below. Complete the training modules in numerical order (e.g., complete Module 2.1.1 before 2.1.2).
3. Talk to your Lead: Once you select a pathway, introduce yourself to that Subteam Lead or Mentor to get started on your first hands-on project!
